Billing & plans
Plans, limits, how upgrades work, and what happens during the beta.
Plans apply per workspace and govern mailbox count, member seats, sync interval, storage, retention, and feature availability. The plan catalog is managed by the platform operator, so the exact numbers on your instance come from its live catalog.
The plans
- Free — up to 2 mailboxes, 1 member, 30-day retention. For individuals getting started.
- Pro — up to 10 mailboxes, faster sync, 1-year retention, Send Later and Snooze.
- Business — up to 25 mailboxes and 10 members, shared mailboxes, role-based access, audit log, workspace invitations.
- Enterprise — custom limits, compliance export, and contact-based pricing.
How limits are enforced
Limits are enforced at the API: connecting a mailbox beyond the plan limit is blocked, inviting a member beyond the seat limit is blocked, and sending from a workspace that exceeds its mailbox allowance is rejected with an upgrade message.
Payments
When billing is enabled on an instance, checkout and subscription management run through Stripe, and plan changes apply automatically via verified webhooks: upgrades on successful checkout, downgrades to Free when a subscription is cancelled. You can manage your subscription through the billing portal.
Note
During the closed beta, billing is not active and no payment is required. Plans are provisioned manually — contact support to request one.
Data on cancellation
Cancelling downgrades the workspace to Free at the end of the billing period. Deleting your account removes your messages, mailboxes, and encrypted credentials; workspace data is preserved if other members remain.
