Shared Inbox

Run team mailboxes without forwarding chaos

Connect a mailbox once and make it visible to your workspace. Members read the same threads, and sending rights are granted explicitly per person — not shared passwords.

The problem

Shared addresses usually mean shared passwords

Teams handle support@, sales@, or info@ by passing around IMAP credentials or forwarding mail into personal inboxes. Nobody knows who replied, threads get answered twice, and revoking access means changing the password for everyone.

Helpdesk tools solve this by taking your mail hostage in a proprietary ticket system — losing the thread model, the provider, and the data ownership.

The TELVRIX approach

Workspace-visible mailboxes with explicit send grants

In TELVRIX, the mailbox owner connects the account once. Setting it to workspace visibility makes its threads readable by workspace members in their own sidebar — no credential sharing, no forwarding rules.

Sending is a separate, explicit permission. A member can only compose from a shared mailbox if they hold an active send grant, checked on every send. Grants are managed individually and revocable instantly.

Workflow

How a shared mailbox works

  • 01

    Connect the mailbox

The owner connects support@ via IMAP/SMTP. Credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and never shared with members.

  • 02

    Set workspace visibility

Flip the mailbox to workspace-visible. It appears in every member’s sidebar with full thread history.

  • 03

    Grant sending rights

Give specific members permission to send as the shared address. Everyone else stays read-only.

  • 04

    Work the queue together

Members read, label, archive, and reply from one place. Workspace activity is recorded in the audit log.

Capabilities

What you get.

No credential sharing

Only the connecting owner ever holds the IMAP/SMTP password. Members get visibility, not secrets.

Per-member send grants

Sending as the shared address requires an active grant, verified server-side on every send.

Full thread history

Members see the complete synced conversation, including mail sent before they joined.

Role-aware access

Workspace roles (owner, admin, member, viewer) control who can manage mailboxes and members.

Audited activity

Membership and mailbox events land in the workspace audit log on Business and Enterprise plans.

Instant revocation

Remove a member or revoke a send grant and access ends immediately — no password rotation.

AvailabilityWorkspace-visible mailboxes and send grants require an organization workspace. Workspace invitations are available on Business and Enterprise plans.
